Is your Jeep ready for a lift kit?

Updated: Jun 19, 2023

How many miles does it have? Does it need ball joints, tie rod ends, hub bearings, brakes, u joints, etc.? Is the engine operating at an optimal level? Because you're gonna need all the power it has to move the extra mass of bigger tires and that taller suspension. These are all things that need to be considered before modifying your Jeep. Do yourself a favor and get your Jeep inspected by the installer first before moving forward. It will save them some time by being prepared in the way of having the parts needed on hand and it will also save you the surprise of unexpected costs after spending all that money for the lift and wheel/tire combo. And also just remember that just because it’s not worn out at the moment doesn’t mean it won't wear out soon after the taller suspension and bigger tires have been installed. So when the time comes think about upgrading to higher quality parts versus the over the counter options.
